  (40b) John 17 vs 11 - 18, You are a Gift, Given unto Christ

We are called to pause and reflect on Christ’s prayer, for His disciples, for us, and for the protection and guidance of the Father. His words are not merely historical; they are a living invitation for how we are to act, respond, and carry ourselves as followers of Christ in today’s world.

It is awe-inspiring to consider that we are a gift from the Father to Christ. This truth transforms the way we see ourselves and our purpose. We are not just believers; we are ambassadors of Christ. Every thought, word, and action becomes an opportunity to represent Him, to bring His love, truth, and light into places of darkness, confusion, and despair.

Being Christ’s ambassador is a sacred responsibility. It calls us to humility, to courage, and to a life marked by intentional love. It reminds us that our lives are not our own, they are entrusted to us to reflect the Father’s heart and glory.

In the midst of this calling, it’s essential to ask ourselves: How do we respond to being a gift from the Father to Christ? How do we live out our role as His ambassadors in daily life, in our families, communities, and in the wider world?

You are deeply cherished and infinitely loved. Your life has eternal significance. The Father, through Christ, has placed a mission in your hands that no one else can fulfill.

How do you respond to this truth? How does it inspire your heart, shape your actions, and guide your purpose today?

Christ tell His disciples that He will no longer pray to the Father for them. Why? They will have the Holy Ghost, and can pray to the Father through the Spirit of Truth. Awesome. So can we. He also no longer has to speak in Parables. We find out why when we examine God's Word. He is speaking to His disciples, but to us as well. Thank You Lord !

    1. That we are Given to Christ by the Father and that we have a responsibiloty to do the work of reconciliation to do. We are entrusted to Christ. It shpuld change our prospective on the Minsistry. we need to take this more seriously. The comfort is in knowing that we havent chosen Him but that He has chosen us before the foundation of the world and ordained us to bear much fruit that remains. No matter who we are we are called for His purpose not ours. The purpose is the same but we all accomplish in different.

    1. I believe it speaks to both. First as members of the body and secondly to the individual members. The body and the individual both have the same purpose. To further the gospel. we all have the same purpose and thru the Lord accomplish it according as He directs us. pro 3: 5 - 10 helps us understand how.
